Aug 01, 2020
The practice has seen it plans for the rear of 121 High Street approved by the London Borough of Richmond Upon Thames.
The new rear extension will rationalise the existing building to provide an improved entrance and communal parts for existing dwellings as well as providing two new apartments which are aimed at the commuter market with Whitton station less than 100m from the site.
The considered designed avoids overlooking issues with the clever use of a lightwells, angled bays and controlled aspects to the main living space windows. The building will be constructed with London stocks in a Flemish bond and soldier course detailing with lime pointing and will incorporate a green roof. Perforated bronze screens will provide privacy and shading.
