A poor quality single storey rear extension, conservatory and garage will make way for these new proposals. The internal ground floor layout will be re-arranged and extended to connect directly to the existing secluded garden. A new stone bay window to the drawing room (formerly the kitchen) will replace the existing adhoc arrangement of windows and doors.

The new extension will house an open plan kitchen and family room and is expressed as a parapet wall with well proportioned openings for sliding doors and a window. The main elevation will be formed in ashlar stone with matching dressed stone detailing to match the bay window. The roof terrace above provides further amenity and is accessed off a new door from the existing stairwell

Behind the parapet wall, the building form has been carefully designed ensuring that there is no adverse impact on the adjoining property.

Construction is due to start in early 2021.
